Food related question

I have these readymade pasta meals from tesco/marks etc, the £1.99 stuff and they are on average between a few days to a month out of date each but have been frozen the entire time. If I microwaved it as normal now would it be okay to eat, considering the expiry date?

You said they were frozen - are they frozen ONLY meals? I.e. the expiry date is intended to reflect a frozen meal, not one stored in a fridge?

sod the food. any vitamins you need can be resolved with a 1.99 tub of 30 tesco cod liver oil and multivitamin tablets.

It says they're suitable for freezing, but I think they are supposed to be refridgerated whilst in date, at least. I'm "thoroughly defrosting" a frozen spaghetti so I'll see how it goes.

They'll be absolutely fine. Just make sure you cook them properly.

They will be fine, I have those too and have done this.. the Chicken and Bacon pasta bake is a mighty fine dish. Although it used to be much nicer a few years ago, for some reason they changed the recipe and the pasta

Should I keep these frozen until I want to eat them and use the microwave defrost option and cook them like that, or is it okay to let them defrost in the fridge so I can microwave them from refridgerated in the future? I assume the former, but I'm not entirely sure how these expiration date deals work.

Each one will be different. Read the back of the box. Some will say 'defrost thoroughly from frozen before cooking', others will give you a cooking option straight from frozen. It doesn't really matter how you defrost them, I will usually let them defrost naturally unless I'm short of time. Have you actually read the instructions on the box, and also the instructions on your freezer? (There will a snowflake symbol on the freezer somewhere, each snowflake usually represents the safe freezing time for that freezer, e.g. three snowflakes = three months freezing time).
