Fletching

Ok - my fletching is over 520 now and the top range arrows are green. So, whats the best thing to make now to increase my fletching skill? I've noticed I can make staffs - are these the best way forward?

Staffs will be needed when SC comes out. Every caster will need a fletcher then and that is probably the best business you will have.

Bows are the best thing at any level. Arrows are quick but they don't raise any of your material skills and they are a pain to powerlevel.

Load youre vault up at corn station with runewood, mithril and the like for like level silk and some leather.

Then run tasks like a slave in camelot till 650.

aha, so thats the trick to get 650, im 560 something atm and its getting soooooooooooooooo expensive to craft. cap my bg points first then back to fletching for the grand master fletching title

(i know, i know, wep crafting is much more expensive and i know that fletching is relativly cheap first 500 levels)

btw, craft the green con arrows, they are cheap, come in handy (store in vault or give to guil mates / friends) and should get u to 530 without loosing to much cash

Thanks for the tips guys.

So far all I made is arrows really - they have done well getting my fletching up but will be grey soon. I have made dolls (heh) do get my clothworking up to around 500 now so I guess Im ready to start on the bows then.

After 500 the way i did it was :-

500 - 530 on shortbows.
530 - 555 on hunting bows.
555 - 580/585 on bows.
580/585 - 599 on longbows.

I did the same method for every subsequent level up to 1000 and spent at least 25plat ,possibly 30plat or more.
Do'nt skill on staffs because the loss on re-selling is even greater than it is on bows ,also do'nt salvage bows because that costs more as well.

If you need to keep up your secondary skills (metal ,cloth ,leather etc ) then make studded armour with armourcrafting and tailoring.
To raise woodwork use weaponcrafting or make trinkets around the '50 or '00 mark.
