Just finished watching the 36 episodes of it. I remeber watching it as a kid but not really understanding it all I remembered was flashing lights and exploding heads. Such a great series a must see for all Anime Fans.

Havn't watched the new series, but I might give it a look, the original film was pretty funky though.

This is a million times better than the film in comparison the film just doesnt do the series justice.

are we talking the anime film or the yank live action remake?

i'm not even sure what series he's talking about yaka, the original anime series was 109 eps and aired mid eighties.

Im talking about the original 80's anime version. not the poor live action one.

The original TV series was 152 episodes actually. The Manga release cuts out after 36. Quite annoying. Gonna search ebay for a full 152 box set

might as well well buy them dodgy region 0 ones on ebay. cheap as chips £40 box set rather than paying the full £80+ notes for it
