First shield merc on Prydwen!

In the spirit of researching for the mercenary community, I just used my good old treasured full respec to get rid of that silly dual wield and train in shield instead. Being slightly tipsy, I ended up with 49 slash, 49 shield and 33 parry (and there I was wondering why I had so many leftover points for that!). Should be fun to test that out. Diamond slash is crap anyway, and brutalize can't be that good either. Can it? Can it?!11?

At least I am sober enough to know that the next patch will give me a single line respec again to turn myself into a standard merc again. Go me!

Then again if you have fun with your char who cares what anyone thinks,anyway see what it's like only thing is you will not have MOB which is a shame.

If you count alcohol, then yes, I am on drugs And if you consider that we mercs get a 360 degree evade (still evade 1 of course, but anyway) and that chain isn't that bad if you consider armor resists and stuff, then we're, in theory, not that bad at being shield tanks. Ah well, I'll see what it's like. Can always respec to my old setup next patch.

s/s Merc = Warrior in effect really, so i suppose its not that bad.....warrior with 360 degrees evade for sligtly less base damn might be a change...

your a 1h warrior with 360 evade, charge and dt, grats?

There are some (not many though^^) S/S merc on german servers......

They are quite satisfied with their Chars and manly protect Casters or Healers. Slam and DT for those who are attacking... so u can handle 2 attackers for a short time and give the one u protect the possibility to escape, be healed etc.

I'm not sure if it's really cool though. So far I only participated in some laggy RvR and had a duel against a Paladin, which took quite a while but eventually saw me die with him still being at almost full health. More testing tonight methinks.

Y'day I beat a rr4 paladin without being hit, /flex.
Also beat some rr4 sc'd pala with something like 80% left oO, although he'd actually got me down to 15-20%, so I'll let him off.
