Firewall Help

Ive just installed a Netgear ADSL Modem/Router an all seems well other than the fact I cant read any webpages that let me into a password protected site. e.g Barrysworld member logon

What happens is that I input my password details and then I get the page cant be displayed message. This error also happens when I try to register for ebay for example.

Im running XP Pro with all updates. Security is set to low in internet options in IE6 so Im guessing its the hardware firewall but Ive currently left everything at default.

Can anyone help me with this .

Could it be that your firewall is setup to allow http, but not https? I beleive you need to allow outgoing tcp packets to the remote port 443.

"The DG814 is almost unique in that it has built-in support for content filtering, which allows you to control what websites are visible to users on your local network. The primary use is monitoring the websites that your children use. The filtering works by looking at any HTTP request that is sent via the router and if a keyword is found in the URL then the router blocks that request and returns a Page Blocked screen to the user."
