Hasn't anyone tried exping in hib's equivilant of avalon city? (assuming you have one) Everyone in alb used to do trees... then we did the common-sense thing (I know, shocking), and moved to avalon when it became a good alternative.

There are a shit-load of alternative spots to xp in, its just that peeps seem to gravitate towards the fins coz there is always a group going (usually anyway).

Recently tho the whole fins thing has been screwed up by using the fins for focus groups.

Players get lazy, no one can be arsed to run the list and when they leave, the list is rarely handed over in its entirity.

Tbh, i cant blame them, the fins list is a hassle coupled with a burden. Who wants to be bugged by constant pm's from players they dont know, half of which are "what number am i" the other half being "put me on the list" and a few being random abuse because "the druid has been there over an hour ffs!"

GO TO TUR SUIL PEOPLE.

Assuming you can do yellows, you can solo there from 46+ and duo there from probably about 43+. From there you can set yourself as LFG and form groups as people arrive at the entrance. This dungeon seems to be exactly the same style as Avalon City (sure it looks different but looks mean nothing) and should provide great exp right up to 50. If albs can get their act together and start exping in a new dungeon, u guys are supposed to be able to do it easily

actually TS is pretty dangerous to xp in if you want to do anything other than the entrance stuff, and mob respawn is kinda slow (except when you're oom )

EZ is imo the best place for 45+ xp, or crim fins

there's also the Bog (banshees, raven wraiths)

there are some really nice spots in SI tho (which I'm not gonna tell coz I want em all to myself!11!!1!!!)

Cothrom Gorge and World's End and Vigilant Rock all have some great spawns

pity I can never get away from plvling with focus pulling

Fins are crap yep, but when you only get an hour, maybe 2 at about midnight, a few days a week, it's about the best you can do most nights ....... unfortunatley :/
The group has been crap recently though. No one with the list, people leaving without giving notice, no replacements being called in advance (if at all), people picking and choosing replacements rather than using the list in order, people using '/who class level-range' to find people rather than collecting those names who pm them. It's a shambles.

The xp is not great and it's boring as hell, but the problem is if you just log on (and we dont have DF), go innis and its empty, /who cullen and its empty, /who sheeroe (or however its spelt ) and it's empty, etc, etc, etc. Even /who 40 49 doesnt often come up with much, or at least the right classes. My ns was able to make groups for nearly all 50 levels, but you just cant do that now unless you have all evening .......

theres 2 places in SI that are good (prolly better than fins)

problem is peeps know about fins.

We need another lvl 44 XP spot.

Ill make a map. you can get there solo and its good XP.

If we can get used to having fins and 1 other place running all the time it wil be good for hib..

This has been a long standing problem in hib so rather than flame and whine lets be contructive and get a good alternative XP spot that can run in parrallel to fins. Ill post details when I get time.

(PS I may even do one of my MS Paint specials if someone donates enough money)

Had the Fins list yesterday, xp was slow. Whining in the group etc. Oh well made 2 levels.
Although I made 2 or 3 mistakes (sorry ruebe and vintork).
Fins list is hard. Noone ever says there going offline, so many instant messages that everyone thinks there on list.
But unless they got a reply usualy they arent on list.
Thank god I did that right although had to backtrack my messages allot so I wasnt that usefull in the group.
Tried to make a 44ish to 50 group at SI area well that didnt even start off .

Note to self dont only /why nicknames but try to messages them all aswell.

Anyways msg Mysteriax (level 44 druid). If you want to try an SI group.

Set up a CG /public. Reply to any join request with /cg join <your name> and one moment please. When you have a spare moment get every new member of the chat group to quote their details and give them a function (tank/nuker/healer/regen) and a number, like those take a ticket and wait to be called things.

The numbers keep going up and every time someone is replaced you can say calling now tank-5 for example. all the tanks now know how far it is till their turn.

This means for your list you have a list for each purpose with a name column and a number column, so you're sure no-one gets in on the wrong number.

People can join the CG with their alts, and it's their responsibility to claim their place quickly when their number is called, otherwise it passes to the next number on that list.

This way you only have to say when you replace people which number is up and everyone knows where they stand.

If you have the current group in the CG so that those on the list know in advance if someone is leaving.

Also, people starting groups elsewhere can connect to the CG and see if anyone, who otherwise will have to wait an hour for a place, is interested in filling a slot in a different group.

A kind of LFG CG for alts.

I think the fins list is a stupid idea. Make xp groups the traditional way for Glimmer Knights, Glimmer Warshades, TS, Bog Wraiths, Banshees, Siabra City, Cursed Forest (plenty of mobs to be found if you just visit all the special mobs' hideouts), Fomor City.... not to mention opening DF or doing focus pulls in CM. I've heard of people being on a fins list for 8 hours straight. That's insane.

Plus the uber drops just cannot be beat

Since i started hib, i dont understand why ppl would join some 'list' to xp killing sucky xp mobs... dont make much sense to me, but oh well

Get 3 enchanters, bard, druid and fill in rest and see your xp rise insanely Walk around a bit, pull 4-6 red/purple cons on pet, and pbae em to death. Made 4 bubs on 49 in 2.5 hours. It's so easy and fast

the list has gone out of hands. ppl are so afraid to lose thier spot on it so they most of the times refuse to try make another group. If they where a lill openminded about this there could be a few other L45+ groups out there making it faster to get to L50.

But there is this one thing about the fingroup. always a spot open for a L44+ NS or ranger. atleast that was how it was when I last lvled there.
