Dear hibbys,

I was out walking the epic zone with some friends the other day and, this might come as a chock to some of you, we stumbled upon tons of bafing mobs. The exp was crazy (Lvl 48 got 120-200mill/pull) and so was the droprate. And here I was beleiving that the only purple bafers were to be found at brefiene!

Today I was looking for one more tank for our group. I pm:ed 7 in the range 45-49. Each and every one of them replied, sorry, either in, or joining a fins group.

Tomorow we will be in the CF. Maybe, just maybe exp will be just as great and we might even get a drop that isnt a left-hand hammer.

PS

I know a lot of ppl are going other places than the fins, but still far to many just seem to think that they are the only mob in the game.

Fins are:

1: Boring
2: sucky xp
3: overcamped

The only thing good about fins is the location....


Been camping siabra city and ez for my last xp and it was twice the xp and much better drops than stupid/boring fins.

What i've also noticed is that usually there is a full grp of players waiting till they can join a fins-grp, while if they made a grp of their own they can start xping imediatly instead of waiting for 8hours (yes 8) and still not be in it...

The problems is the replacements, I rarely can find a group with stable members let´s say to stay 5+ hours, in EZ, CF, the replacement is v hard to find (in EZ it´s mostly impossible) and the fact is that it´s v easy to go fin´s spot, or queueing, play an alt and wait the call. Sure ppl got bored and so, but I´ve really suffered enough times about speech like: "oh sorry, need to log, cya" from some vital members of my group (who asure m some hours of play time, but that´s not the fact), both in bog and in EZ. And then u´ll need to go innis again, in case of EZ that means a banzai and running towards some luvly knights... All to find that in innis nobody wanna/can/has got enough lvl to group, and spend again 1 or 2 hours, when u finnaly got the member, somebody of ur original group left already...

So lately I´ve found much easier to make a guild group and kidnap some lvl 50s from my guild than begging (yeah even when I´m forming the group) ppl to come to some place, btw last week was some time when fin´s spot´s EMPTY of campers We went there, killed 6 gps and start killing fins

I have stated it before and will do again, there are fins in the cf, can't believe why everyone are overcamping the breifine ones and letting the cf ones be

The finliaths in CF does not come in group. It will be a new spot in CF for camping finliaths after patch tho, but now they are like singles or come in 2, max.

That still dont give a reason to camp them, after you hit 50 you will still want to go to EZ/CF just to get the drops you need, so either you do it on your way to 50 or do it after.

But... but... fins are soooo much FUN!
They signify everything that is wrong with this game imho..
People would rather have stable boring exp (me included ) than a fun although very much less profitable trip to EZ or SC (less profitable due to downtime accompanying members leaving group and getting replacements)
Anyway.. no more evil fins for me
After patch I'll take guildmembers to the magic fin tree in CF instead of to breifine.. Can always switch mobs there

There is a spot in the east of the CF where fins tend to come as 3s (not every pull, but more often than not).

But i have to agree, Glimmer Knights and Siabs are just as good, drop better stuff, and Siab City is considerably quicker to get to from most places, except for Emain, than the fins are.

Even gobors can be OK, as they can be killed quickly enough to make up for the red/orangeness, and they also drop some stuff, and you will get the occasional Vindi, for the casters who need a light staff (BTW has anyone actually seen this drop, orisit just a rumour?).

They dont spawn as fast armolas, and i never seen them come in more than 2. And there is no safe spot to pull the from either.

No they are night spawn only in the place where they come as 3s - which is around the back of the forest, past where the Orey Eyed oghamist lives, near the zone wall as I remember, but they do come as 3s more often than not there, unlike the rest of the forest whichis ones and twos.

So not ideal, but during the day you can go hunt other stuff there, and anyway I prefer Siabs and Knights as above, as these are probably as good or better exp, more fun, and more drops.

The spawn in CF for fins is an insta pop spawn. Its stupidly fast.
The spot is even safer to pull from then the Breifine one where theres wandering G.Pooks on occasions. Only problem is getting there alive, since the night spawn is awful in that area.

i dont get why ppl would want to camp a place that has no camp bonus lol it gets camped all day the exp there is shite for the mob your pulling
yep in CF there is fins with camp bonus and there r safe spots to pull them from
best exp i think in hib comes from the knights in EZ but i know a lot of u dont want to go there coz it aint safe exp lol
have fun go out and explore there are tons of good exp places that baf and give camp bonus and drop more than a shitty mace and a belt
there is a hell of a lot more to this game than camping fins and going emain

Fins @ Crimm are mind numbingly boring and not great xp. I've been there three times in the last month, helping xp grps until they can get more tanks.

Fins @ CF spawn at the base of granny hill they are night pops only, and baf in up to 3's but more oftern 2's.

If u have a very good pbae xp grp with all say 46+ and tanks @ 48+, Glimmer kinghts/deathwatchers/geists is much, much better xp the drops are great. only prob is getting replacements, and the long journey back if u get a bad pull/ double scouted, whatever.

Siabra city is also cool and two lev 45ish grps can dual there easily, again better drops than fins and xp is prolly just as good.

They are actually quite fun at lvl 40ish.. went with 2 groups tonight..
I had fun helping guild members there

Any higher lvl and it gets boring dreadful exp

another positive aspect of fins in Breifine: while I was doing my share of Fins there we never lost Crim, for the simple reason that our group was always there within seconds of the spotting of the enemy, having two pb-casters and thus killing the invaders easily.
So actually a group at Fins is needed to defend the homeland
