Well i'm at uni now and have my timetable....it doesn't look good.
I can really see my already pretty poor cs skills going downhill. They expect you to go drinking all the time so how i'll manage to stay sober enough for cs and lectures.
I'm now using a dodgy laptop with a 56k modem so I may have to try and persuade people in my halls to stop playing Halo for a while and bother to get our computers networked
The other option is to pay for cable, get a router and split the cost 4 ways

Don't forget that thieves often target students, as they know at the start of the year they will have all kinds of fancy computers, hifi, clothes, etc

Food for thought

I agree that crime among students is pretty low, but the danger comes from people outside. It's really easy to get into halls buildings even when they have security doors. As long as you're young looking you can just look at the noticeboard then catch the door as someone else opens it.

Wait for a fire alarm drill and it'd be like an all you can eat restaurant.

Just got back from a taster session of rock climbing (well brick wall climbing) and have to say cs may have to take a back seat for a while. There doesn't seem to be a computer games society at my uni so I'll probably stick to lan gaming first.

I'm going to own up to stealing a slice or two of frozen bread already.....I'll hand myself in to the police tomorrow.....if I wake up before 8 (not going to happen)

Not themselves, i got an Endsleigh student policy for mine - they provide insurance for all the time ur in halls, and cover the move up and back. Think a few peeps allegedly "broke" some stuff going up.
