Is it just me or is the advert for this utter shit.

I mean the way they put it...

Mr Banana killed someone on the 10/10/03
10+10+3 is 23!

Mr Pineapples wife was admitted to hospital on 21/2/00
21+2+0 = 23!
She then killed Mr Pineapple at 17:06
17+0+6 is 23!

and so on and so on.

They just use the numbers as they like.. Sometimes when 2 numbers are next to each other it counts as double figures others it doesnt.

Apart from that though the film does look ok. Anyone seen it yet?

Ghost Rider starring Nicholas Cage looks teh pwn tbh.

Number 23 looks okey though. Jim Carrey in a non-funny role? Will be entertaining to see if he can achieve such a thing.

Watched Ghost Rider over the weekend, was OK but not quite the pwn. Special FX were very good but weak story.

Jim Carey in non funny role - Ace Ventura ;)

12 has had some bad reviews for the same thing as mentioned here - the way they get to 23 is random etc..

Saw a clip for ghost rider the other day and thought it looked shite tbh. Like Nic Cage movies but won't be rushing to see it unless I hear lots of good things about it first.

Watched Ghost Rider on Friday, was quite an entertaining movie.

And saying the story is weak is a bit.. wrong since the story is based on the comic books.

I'm not saying that the story was all that great, but you have to consider the fact that the movie is based on the comic books, so that's where the root of the story is.

After reading a couple of ghost Rider magazines I must say that they pulled it through quite well. Nicholas Cage plays the role as Blaze extremely good and he managed to make me laugh quite a few times.

The effects were quite good as well, though the skull looked a bit weird and the flame effects didn't actually look "correct". That's my opinion about the effects though as I'm studying 3D design at the moment.

All in all, a very good movie well worth the money for those who doesn't analyze a movie to shreds and enjoys Marvel comic books :)

Someone has been reading too much R.A. Wilson...
In his Illuminatus! Trilogy, he makes a lot of the '23 enigma' where the number 23 (in various forms) keeps cropping up. The idea is that 23 is symbolic of something or other or is the code to a cypher, however it's just something two guys who'd dropped a truckload of acid came up with for a novel in the '60s. Nice to see Hollywood isn't above nicking ideas without referencing the source though.

maybe the film 23 is about the decline of someones mental health, growing paranoia which causes their desire to see meaning and menace in everything thus making huge mathematical leaps to show everything comes up to 23?

either that or it could just be a bit you know, um shite.

that firey motor bike one looked alright but nicholas cage?? ummm im really really not sure about him at all tbh, he troubles me

I recon you havnt seen him in Lord of War or even The Weather Man then, both of them is brilliant. While face off was decent I wouldnt call it his best by any strech.
