OK so this isn't pre dawn, but it's as early as I'm getting up at the moment.

Hope it counts.

I don't know exactly how many hours pre-dawn this is supposed to be, but as this view looks identical at that time of the morning, here's an image I shot an hour or so ago. It's MediaCity next to the Manchester Ship Canal.

Exif: http://www.flickr.com/photos/milouvision/6267444642/meta/in/photostream/ - taken with the trusty 24mm TS-E II. Also used a 0.3 ND grad. 5x4 crop - usual curves and colour correction due to RAW parameters. 5:50am start and excellent misty conditions. This is at Bratley View near the most photographed tree in the Forest (not this one - but this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/milouvision/5222073376/in/set-72157623181871618/lightbox/). Behind the most photographed tree is a bowl which usually collects the mist and has at least 3 or 4 ponies.

Another thing I like about Milou's shot is that it looks exactly how I would imagine a cold and misty morning. I'm liking the desaturation feel, there's far too many super-saturated shots on Flickr with unrealistic hues.

Cheers. Although there was plenty of colour about the mist acted as an effective barrier. I took a few after the sun peeped through.

Nothing wrong with Tom's picture. I don't like the horse picture. There, I said it.
