FFDShow problem/support

firstly, when i initially installed it it slowed down my computer ability's to play any kind of video file/format, and then i over reacted and thought it was something else, after egsausting all avenues, i figured it must be that

so, are there any minimum requirements for it to work decently?

also, i found it interrupted with winamp terribly, does it come with an on/off switch of some kind?

never mind about that, i had an out of date version... got the newest one(afaik) but now it doesn't do anything:-/ so can anyone help on that?

found an even newer version, and i cant open it... i click it, it just does nothing... this is really annoying, can someone supply me with a working version please?
