Indeed so long as it doesnt involve cheating.

Cuase to be honest the opersition wouldnt have any 2nd thoughts about killing you in a clan game.

tho on a public server it is a bit lame.

I thought of this one because (a) I signed up to this season of the Q3 FFA League and (b) the "chat icon" thread made me think about it. (BTW for the record, killing someone chatting in public is a little lame, killing someone chatting in a match is fair game... ;))

In a "normal" public FFA there are some things that are considered impolite at best and utterly lame at worst - camping armours/weapons, hiding somewhere and sniping, things like that.

So, do these "politeness" things still hold true in an FFA game when it's in a League format and winning is "more important"?

I don't want to act "unsportingly" in the game but I also don't want to be disadvantaged by constantly thinking "oh, I'd best not camp the RA..." when every other bugger is doing it... :)

In my view, in a "seriuos" game its winning that counts, so :-
camping
quad slutting
killing talkers

ie (basically anything :)) is a valid tatic ;)

As far as I'm concerned anything goes as long as it doesn't involve cheating of some kind.

Quad
Shooting chatters
Camping

Like someone else said, they are all valid tactics. If you're looking for games where people don't shoot you when you are telling someone about how l33+ j00 are, then .. g'luck.

Ever heard of CotC (Clan of the Campers) ? :) These guys and girls are pro campers, its all they do pretty much. Damn funny lot too.

At the end of the day, theres not a lot you can do about it anyway unless you are playing on a server with restrictions in place, ie on a LAN or in a match situation.

/me leaves singing "Anything gooooooooes"
