Females/girls Playing Daoc?

Just wonder... A regular FoM grp we had some month ago, we had 3 IRL girls playing, healer, healer and shammy,

Just wonder if their is more girls playing, or if it is 99% boys/men?

when i used to be in LOD we had at the highest point easy 10 females in the guild. (thats excluding the infamous drop roleplaying)

so yea females do play daoc. and im sure many other guilds etc will say they had numerous females in guild also.

Judging by FH, alliance and guild chats i've seen over the years i'd be inclined to say 98% boys or very immature men, 1% grown up men and 1% women.


On a more serious note, most guilds tend to have a few girls in, but I honestly don't see why it matters or why people make a big deal about it, virtually every household has a computer these days, its virtually essential for getting through college/uni now so its natural more women will play computer games now too, but I don't think women tend to take the game as seriously as the guys, which probably says more about us then them.

I managed to get my GF into playing some.

But you as you guys already noted girls dont take the game all that serius.

On the other hand it was tons of fun to see her kill 2 trolls that came
to her xp spot in the frontier.
It was her first solo kills and she was almost jumping in her chair.

tbh grisl are the best players, since they dont care too much about the money and always are willing to help,..

and yes most of them play seers (afaik all the girls in my old guild had seers as mains)

Well dunno why its matter about girl play or not, but i'm one of the girls there do like to play this game. When I were in Herfølge Boldklub i did meet some from the guild rl most of em were boys but but hehe one more girl did show up so we were 2 girls in the guild for sure
About how much girls dont care about the game, dunno I got temper and wants to get/do the best when i'm doing rvr. I like to play rvr and wants some nice fights with alot of tactics wich does make the game funny

hrm my wife has LGM crafters I don't she has more 50s than I do too (though I'm catching up)
I know of a few RR7+ female players. So much for not taking the game seriously.

One of the girls in my guild had a reputation for grey ganking with her minstrel back in OF so much for nurturing

Now if you take averages and whatnot you might find that women are more likely than men to make support classes or whatnot but it's a bit of a generalisation...

some study of EQ had it at about 25% female players? (mighta been lower - 15% or so) but it's a lot more than 1%
