Half-Life 2 = Late Summer?
The forums on Halflife2.Net have some details translated from an article on Half-Life 2 from German print PC Games magazine (thanks Bigun). The post offers hidden-text descriptions of the screenshots in the article, and word from Valve's Gabe Newell that they are planning to release the game in late summer, along with apologies for the September 30 fiasco, attributing the delay to bad scheduling, rather than the source code theft.

""A NOTICE ON the Wal-Mart web site has Half Life 2 for the PC available for shipping in early July - the 2nd of July in fact.

Wal-Mart says that if you pre-order this item today, it will ship to you then for $49.82.

We're not sure what will happen if you start sending your Half Life 2 vouchers to Wal-Mart. So we'd advise you not to."

Obviously thats an American release (if its true), so how long after that we'd see a Europe / UK one is anyones guess.

I'm guessing at a world wide release -at least via Steam.
