Favourite watering holes...

Hello there.

Is it me, or has anyone else noticed different GSPs tend to attract different classes of player? I play DoD and have noticed the following:

BarrysWorld - Completely out-classed. I get owned constantly and without remorse. Every time I peer round a corner there seems to be a K98 pointed at my head. MGs dug-in covering all the choke points with needle precision.

Jolt - My kinda town! Seems to be at my level and always makes for a good game. Each match could go either way.

Games Domain - Not many servers about but these tend to be pretty easy. I usually end up in the top three and team-work seems more prevailenton on these servers, somehow.

Wireplay - Piss! I am INVINCIBLE on these servers. It seems like I never get hit on these and everyone I run into is fumbling with their weapon. I RULE! But there are hardly any servers and they're always full anyway.

Is it just my perception of have you guys noticed this with CS as well?

I envy you peeps. You always seems to play on the same servers and have this forum to yourselves. I have nobody. I'm alone. Despite DoD being a much smaller community I never seem to see the same name twice. I haven't even bumped into Throddy yet.

Must admit Summo, that I dont tend to play on the BW DoD servers for the very same reason you mentioned. I usually stick with the BY or Jolt servers, simply because thats where the rest of the Zimmers go.

Although, truth be told, if Ive played DoD lately, its been in matches, not on the publics.

Also, you can be part of our community if you want. Just go sit in the corner and hold the spitoon.

I agree.. on Barrysworld, im at Home, i know most of the people, and can play well against em.. but when i go to somewhere like Jolt, i get owned heh,

As far as DoD goes, I find Jolt very easy indeed, Blue Yonder to be chock full of campers and BW about right. However I do play DoD mostly on Jolt still i confess.
CS I always play on BW, although I find Jolt easier for that too, I just like playing on BW, I know all the people etc, which is what makes for a good game

Seriously, I play ANYWHERE.

Currently playing regularly on the Cultgaming server (Jolt) but play on the HPB servers (Jolt and BW), BW pubbies, NSR Clan server and occasionally the CoFR server (Based in California which is a bit of a strain on a 56K)

Also play on the BY.

The one thing I have noticed is that Regardless of where I go, I usually suck

Gah! I forgot Blueyonder, but I can't remember playing on any of their servers before.

I only play on BW tbh (and I usually only play CS)

This is mainly because of gray's voice comms *hears chants of thieving bastard form meh speakers*

I've tried jolt and BY but didn't really take to the amount of abuse which was an order of magnitude greater than at BW.

So now I know a lot of the CS players....I never wanna leave :')

Heh- its not that bad - sometimes actually BETTER than the Jolt HPB server.

REALLY funny thing is - I managed to be top of the scoreboard (even got a piccy to prove it).

If you want to rack up some high scores at DoD the Jolt Caen2/Anzio server is highly amusing. I have scored 150 + on there loads of times

I play CS all over the place, Jolt, BW, BY (and even UK2.net on occassion) - but when I want to rack up a decent score I just go hunting for anyone with a {KEA} clan tag

I play on Demon UK mostly, or on a few clan servers.

Demon is a weird one, there are a few very good clans play there, and occasionally I get pretty humiliated, but more often I'll come home top of the server.

BW I used to find really hardcore, but I was only a noob back then, I often get a good game there, though I never really see you guys about.

BY, every time I go play, some moron TW's me to 5hp or so. I just couldn't be bothered with that.

The others I never really play on. I suppose I've just not got enough time.

And I really like being in a mixed clan. It's a much nicer atmosphere in general.

After being away from im confused about where to play DoD , so usaully i put hl filter on and find the servers with like 20-30 people on and a bing below 175 (around 100 servers in the end), as gives much more atmosphere when 15 people run down caen only to get mown down by machine guns and snipers in a hail of bullets.
CS is downloading soon so ill probably just play on barrysworld.

Um, servers... BW seemed to have best standard. Wireplay worst. Jolt and BY both banned me (not perm ones mind you) so I reckon they suck big cockos.

I also found BW were on the whole more friendly... or was that 'cos I'm just a loose hoe?

Well this is true, i mean, you kill an enemy, and before you notice his shiny Colt, some "Team Mate" does the honours of picking it up on you!
