Favourite FPS Weapons

Was browsing the new PCGamer in the local offy just now, and they had an article about their favourite weapons in a game... They chose the shotgun from Doom as their favourite. I would either pick the BFG or the flak cannon as mine I think. Hmm, the plasma cannon in QIIIA was pretty good too actually. Any opinions?

Well, I like the Garand in MOH:AA. It has a weight to it. Feels 'right'.

desert eagle from max payne , love going slow motion dive and getting 3 head shot kills with 3 bullets.

Q1 Rocket - the best RL ever
Q2 SSG rocked hard too, I love the kickback and the way the gibs fly

the ice-gun-thing in Duke3d, Pitchfork in Blood, chaingun wotsit in Doom...erm... Desert eagle .357 in Rogue Spear.... Can't think of anything else at the moment, but they all rawk

look it's a weapon isnt it? and it's in a fps game! ok, so probably hitting the edges of the poll restrictions but my definate fav as of about a week ago is the lightsaber from JK2 (not 1 cos that was kinda rubbish)

It's just so pretty!

The double ended lightsaber you can cheat to get is kinda cool too

Current fave is MoH's Garand purely because of the ping you get when you empty a clip

Of all time though, hmm I was always partial to the hyperblaster in Q2

rah TdC you always bring up Elite!! Its nice to know someone else who loves Elite loads..... Infact.... Wil je met me trouwen?

All things aside, the shotgun in doom was indeed excellent, as were the devastators in dn3d, and the RL in quake, and the ak47 in cs... tau cannon in hldm.... and of course the mil spec laser in elite

Flak Cannon in UT (alternate fire with smiley face bombs)
