Favourite.dat Probs

Can any 1 help me I am having probs with my half-life Favourites I have to enter the ips manually but before I was able to press the update button and then click and add the favourites I want.
However I am now having a problem when I go back into half-life it says the following message:- Your favourite.dat is corrupt you can either press cancel or ok.
If I press ok it deletes them all and if I press cancel it does the same thing!
I have tried reinstalling half-life and deleteing favoutie.dat in the half-life folder but have had no luck and I dont want to use this gamespy thing!

Can any 1 help me Please?

use ase m8, its a lot better than the ingame browser and easy to set up.
