for assortment of beers: HaHaBar, its one of the new places where the prison was.

they have staro on tap, as well as about 10 other draughts and 15-20 bottled beers, fantastic array there. Fairly pricey (3 quid for a pint of staro but its good shit).

The ultimate dilemma!

probably all different next week but:

Lager: Asahi
Ale: Old Empire IPA
Cider: Magners also
Whisky: Cragganmore
Vodka: Snow Queen
Red Wine: Ch. Mouton-Rothschild 1981 - had an opportunity to try this recently. My first first growth, it was fucking stunning (supposedly average year too).
White Wine: Chablis - for all those people who say they don't like Chardonnay!

I could go on but had better stop now.

Yes you are ;)

I've got two nearby 'locals', in one, Staropramen, or if I'm feeling flush, Fruili (strawberry beer, which sounds horrible but isn't). In the other, Honeydew (a pale ale) or Kirin.

If I'm drinking wine, a good Sauvingnon Blanc if I'm on white, Pinot Noir if I'm on red.

As for the hard stuff, my tastes vary; Absolut & Coke at the moment, but I always default to Gin and Tonic as an aperitif or if I'm on a plane or something. I like Mojitos as well but only if someone else is making them!

wine - argentinian malbec. if i want a change then ruby cabernet.

beer - worthy cream flow, another i think is called goblin or hobgoblin.

lager doesnt do it for me anymore.

Alcohol good!!

That's about it.

Like to mix things in odd ways, if you never tried beer(2/3)+coke(1/3) you haven't lived. It's yummy.

Blueberry(real berries) shots(drinks) are excellent but hard to get right. Works well with Absolut V or some other breezer sorta thing.

Like G I'm a big fan of Laphroaig but getting into Jura a lot now. As for beer I'm currently drinking lots of ales so hobgoblin it is. Fruili is beautiful, the cranberry version aint bad either.

As for wine I like a wide range of wines but I always enjoy Malbec.

I tried this Budweiser-E stuff. it's got caffeine, ginseng and guarana in as well as fruit juice and 'beer' (well - bud, but that's not really beer). it's quite nice, and you get a nice buzz, but i don't think i could get drunk on it.

my drink of choice is a Bramble (sometimes called a Bombay Bramble and I've seen it have other names too). Gin with Chambord (or other blackberry liquer), simple syrup and lime over crushed ice.

In pubs, I love a nice pint of Strongbow, you can generally get it almost anywhere. I also love a nice shot of chilled, preferably kept in the freezer, neat premium vodka (it just goes down so smooth, but it can be hard to get). I'll fall back to a jack & coke, or a screwdriver, if I have to. If I need a pickup I'll have a vodka redbull, or a TVR. If I want something that's alchoholic, but refreshing, I'll go for a nice lime dakari.

As for wine, like champers, obviously, but favourite is a nice new world reisling.

Can't stand beer, probably due to my father being an alchoholic and only drinking it.

strongbow is great in the height of summer when you're gagging for a drink, but more than one pint and all i can taste is acidic chemicals. like vodka, it also has a habit of making me punchy.

i fucking hate champagne as well. does anyone else?

Beer usually a Pint of Bud, or sometimes carling (more for the price then the taste).

JD and coke is always a fave, and to liven up the party I'm usually bringing out Sambuca shots. Maximum hit for your money :)

If it's a quiet night in, maybe a bottle of wine, Australian Chardonnay seems to taste pretty good.

Because they are two different drinks.

Magners is not a 'real' cider it was originally marketed as a low strength and very sweet cider in Northern Ireland for 20-30 something women and it was so sucessfull it was marketed in Britain

despite the fact the design it's brewed by the same company, the bottles are identical in design and from what i recall it tastes the same as well?

"Like Bulmers, Magners is also produced in Clonmel, County Tipperary, and is identical to its Irish counterpart in all but name."

Depends on the mood:

Sensible = Guiness
Slightly getting there: Baileys & Black label
Shitfaced = Sambuka w/coffee beans

Wine - Until they stopped selling it, some incredibly sweet white australian wine. 2 bottles accompanying a few hours of CS = horrible MP3's recorded from Teamspeak of me jabbering on about where to go , when all my team have been dead for 5 mins. These are being held for blackmail purposes :(

Larger - Stella man myself. Used to be a sweet cider drinker, but whenever my old boss got a round in, he'd ask everyone what they'd want and then bring back Stella for anyone male and a glass of white wine for the females. Kinda conditioned me to 4 pints of Stella a night over a number of years.

Day-to-Day : Coca-Cola (2-3 cans during the day and a few glasses at home.)

Hmmz

Whiskey - Old Poultney/ Glenlivet / Balvennie / Bowmore
White Wine - Sauvinon Blanc / Chenin - anything light and dry
Red Wine - Southern Hemisphere Shiraz
Beer - Old Speckled Hen, Otter or Leffe if I'm on a wheat beer trip
Lager - Generally don't touch em - Continental if I have to

Or Guinness

:)
