fat 32 H/D under xp pro

hi all
im hoping i can take out old H/D from win 98se plonk it in xp as slave and rip off the files i need .
is this ok ........or dont ntfs ( i think ) dont like acessing aH/D using fat 32

is there a work around ??

dam it still cant use it .......it fact it dont even show up under my computer......are har was worth looking at it shows the fat32 H/D under device manager....ok now im stuck
any idears ...is there a way i can convert the info or something ??

just noticed that under device manager --- right click properties that the device usage is blank ??

I take it you have installed the slave drive in bios?

oops..........
i got my drives in them heatsink things and with them rounded ide cables mades it harder 2 tell what is set 2 , so i riped it all out (the drives that is) and start from scratch , its sorted now
