Fastest Server wants to be the biggest!!

I don't get it... I go to Ola and it is lagged to shit. I go to other
server and there are 5-8 players and sometimes it's still lagged.

So, instead of complaining I did something about it. I put up my own
server. TONS of bandwidth and server power. But, how do I get people
to play instead of on shitty OLA and other lame servers?

hourly stats and all map downloads (if any).

The server is on default port at the same address (63.208.161.5) and
is listed as Callitechnic Ultra Fast DM - it's up 24/7.

The server is a Dual 450, 1 gig ram, SCSI drives, Windows 2000
Advanced Server. We're colocated at Level 3 so bandwidth is a
non-issue.

I've set max players to 50 but, hell, I see no reason why I can't host
100.

Better yet - how about sv_maxrate 25000??!!! T1/Cable/DLS dudes,
you'll love it! g_speed is 10% higher (352), Quad = 4x damage, weapon
respawn is 4 instead of 5. I am rotating through all the DM and
tourney maps in a nice even rotation. Voting is enabled.

Bots are there but only to get the game started, at 8 minimum. They
leave as real players enter.

So - help me out gang! I wanna see this server ROCK!!

Please join and check it out. I wanna see it stressed (betcha can't!).

I have no banner ads and make no money from this - I do it for the
love of the game.

just wondered what the crack is with this server? hmmm?

i'll elaborate:-

last sunday eve i went on this server and was getting 150ping with isdn? hmmm?
got told its in the US!
anyways had a play then came off and had a surf about.
when a bit later i tried to join a game in this country kept getting "unknown executable" as i tried to join any server? wtf!
not knowing what had happened to my q3 install i promptly uninstalled q3 deleted folders contents and reinstalled which solved the problem.
But i was wondering if this server had put some malicious file on my pc?
ne1 else had this prob?

urr, all that means is that the q3 master server thingy hadnt released your id code, meaning u couldnt join another server till it had, if u had of waited for about 10 - 30 mins it should of sorted it out, you dont have to reinstall.
