As i just DInged 50 night before last, i find that SC armour is becoming neccesary, however my bank balance is quite frnkly piss poor.

Whats the best/fastest way for a 50 Thrust Merc to farm cash? I don't craft but i know people who will trinket for me.

DF with cleric buddy doing diamond mobs? DF groups? Avalon groups? Sapphire mobs in DF? leech from a cabby at tanglers?

Any advice be helpful.

I've not tried this myself and it's barely worth mentioning since we hardly ever have DF but... (apologies if you already know this)

Apparently rocots in DF drop lots of emerald seals. If you get a crafter to salvage and trinket DF merchant stuff bought with the seals I believe it's supposed to be quite profitable.

( I will probably regret posting this but...)

The families in SI drop lots of good stuff to salvage. Chain, plate, weapons, etc. The lower houses you can do with just 2 people (remember, they are undead so take people that do most damage against them). Plus the families use styles! Usually best if you don't have an ice wizzie, use ae mez then take them out one at a time (clearing out outside aggro first).

Another good place (lot more hectic and harder but fun) is Avalon City. Got quite a few drops one night, all asterite+ metals.

As for DF, any and all of those suggestions are good. A good 8 person fg can take on the knights easily. (you need a great healer, at least one paly, and good cc just in case).

Okay I have revealed my new favorite spots for hunting... please everyone don't hog the hunting spots... we are adults and we all learned how to share back in elementary school. :D

I wouldn't worry about it Kyra. I don't think I've ever visited the Lindons when they weren't camped :)

But those drops are going to be reduced in number next patch ...

Diamond mobs are the best way of getting cash quickly, if you can solo them you can make a plat in a couple of hours if you are lucky with drops.

Is it really worth getting spellcrafted armour with the impending changes?

Personally I am not going to bother with it either way - Paladin armour just looks sooooo good. Anyway, logging onto DAOC just to kill mobs and get money ... goodness how exciting

Well, you can also see it a helping a guildmate. Group with those that need the xp, help them and cash your selff.

Best cash farming I still believe has to be found with DF diamond mobs. Either in a group of 6+ high 40s people doing the knights, or with a buffbot soloing succubi etc. 15 diamond seals nets you an avernal malison longsword, which salvages for 100 asterite. 100 asterite once trinketted (in about 20 minutes for a high-tier crafter) = 243g. It's up to you to work out how fast you can farm 15 diamond seals :)

Ah. I'm guessing my absolute lacking of a tradeskill might make that kinda difficult ^^

Mind you, I managed to get killed by you, so nothing is impossible
