Just watched the Special edition of Fargo. Not sure that it warrents the Special edition status as the extras are minimal but I had forgotten what a superb film this was.

The interviews with the Coens and the stars of the film are quite good though.

It's alright. I'm not a big Cohen Brothers fan so forgive my lack of enthusiasm.

Infidel! The Coen Brothers are far and away the most talented (mainstream) film makers around. They piss on the wachowski brothers from a great height :/

The man who was never there is a VERY good film

The Man Who Wasn't There was ok too.

Actually I thought it was one of their least impressive pieces. It didn't seem to go anywhere. It did, however, look fucking fantastic.

I just got totally drawn into it, that doesn't happen often for me - although I do love films.

I think the cinematography helped in that department. It almost looked too good. It was so slick and stylish.

The best Cohen brothers film was The Big Lebowski. Easily.

Aye. Except it was the worst :|

Fargo is probably their best film. Although I've not seen them all. I've heard good things about blood simple and barton fink.

Raising Arizona is probably their funniest film. It's also Nicholas Cage's best performance to date.

Rasing Arizona was definetly one of their funniest. Had me in tears at times.

You haven't seen blood simple...?

Its really good and you can see how they developed their dark style especially for fargo from its humble beginings.

My brother has it on dvd, and rants about it loads. I'll get round to it eventually.

I bought the hudsucker proxy a while back, haven't got round to watching that yet either.

Are blood simple and raising arizona on dvd, in 4:3 format or 16:9? The case makes me think 4:3, which leads me to think its either cropped, or letterboxed.

Can you help?

Both copies are 16:9, but I'm not sure if I have yank copies or not. Can't remember, can't be arsed to check. :D
