I haven't had it up on the scales yet, but it's kinda heavy. I think it's pushing 18kg/~36lbs right now and I still have to fit the saddle, saddleclamp, bar and rear disk caliper. oh, and I want other grips too. and hookworms
Will's the lad with the armor plate I need shin guards, elbow guards and a decent helmet. the XC stuff I've done before only warranted light gloves and a race helemt.
Heh, I've not got any pics with my armour on...it does look very silly, though I'd be dead if I hadn't been wearing it when I went downhilling.
You need baggy jeans, elbow guards, shin pads, and a skate-style helmet...a Giro Semi-MX is quite good if you can get it. And remember, the armour goes under the clothes. You look more 'core that way.
I wanna get one but none of that full suspension crap. And I don't want grip shift gears. Cycling is easier than walking. I might engoy taking the dog out more
What are good internet shops to look at? I'm not an enthusiast so I don't need special crazy bikes made of the same metal you can find on the moon.
