ooh lookit, it's a 2000+ now

all I did was bump what epox [I have an epox 8kha+ mobo] call the "CPU clock" in the "Frequencies" tab to 142Mhz [to get to 2000+]. you guessed it, it's actually the bus that you're pushing [from 133 to 142 heh 9 whole Mhz]
as you can see, the cpu is now running at 1642Mhz as opposed to [what?] umm 1533 or something for 1800+ [what the cpu actually is].
It does run slightly hotter so good cooling is a must. I did some UT and Q3 for an hour or so to stress it and found it was running at 50C which is fine by me tho I have an alarm set to ring if it tops 63C just in case.

Not quite as flash, but i got a gig from me Tbird 850, on a kt7raid board, standard cooling and arctic silver.

Steady as a rock.

hmm, if you have an overclocked 1800 running at about 50C then I should have plenty of scope for my 1600xp when i get the nail varnish out
the hottest i've got it so far was 40C and that was with the room closed off and the central heating on full blast

problem is i was gonna play some random maps on empire earth tonight but this has an occasional tendency to crash anyway so it might not be a good stability test

It was only a few months since I upgraded to the 850 from a PII 350!!!
It only cost me 20 quid from ebay. Dont like to spend too much money on me PC, cos I dont use it too often.
