I missed the earlier programme but caught the Bletchley Park doc, interesting stuff. I've only just worked my way through the World at War series from the 70's - it's only taken me about 3 months. :\
Karl Wolff's interviews were particularly interesting, I thought. The ultimate WW2 documentary really. At the time they said they were making it before the people involed were all gone - it's great how they interview generals and soldiers from both sides, not just ours.
Fuck me, someone who can manage to insert hyperlinks properly. A rare breedI got the restored bluray set for my birthday, its epic and there is so much bonus content (like loads of interview material that they had to cut from the main series, 2 extra episodes about Auschwitz, making of stuff, restoring and hd'ising - mucho controversy about cropping from 4:3 full frame to 16:9). See the bottom of the review for the full list. Highly recommended, they did a fantastic job with the restoration (I remember watching it on some scratchy old played-to-death VHS tapes back in school).
