Hiya

Just wondering, why the /rude spam tonight?? I was having a nice go at 2 higher RR rangers, then you add on me, and spam /rude after???

I always thought of you and me as friendly rivals :( , I once let you go when I detected you near nGed ruins, when I could have easily uncovered you and had the fg I was in gank you.

So why the adding, and why the /rude spam???

Here we go, your a scout, you deserve what you get, yadda yadda.

Never mind the fact that I started my scout just after scouts had been hit by several patches of nerfs in a row. (eg. I'm not a FoTM re-roller)

Never mind the fact that I was soloing and generally always have been a solo/duo player. (eg. I'm not a zerger)

Never mind the fact that theseus himself has an archer class as his main.

I cant really see how being a scout affects weather or not he spam's /rude at me. So care to explain why just being a scout makes me deserve /rude spams and adding ? especially considering what I said in my original post. :m00:

Might be because every scout is retarded leechling who must "support their groundtroops" grouped or not.

cut the crap about "he's a scout" so he deserves a /rude
can't really blame someone for picking that class, u picked a ranger

so obviously he had a reason, being in a bad mood or with a previous incident in mind or smth like that

and QQ more to the rest

he was rude'ing you because the place u put your self on a slope to steep to climb and shooting players from it so you cant be attacked , ground to steep to climb

You have a point :)

Also to the people QQing to Dukat about his scout, he's a really nice player, has been around well before NF, him still being 5l8 should show that he's not a tower-humper bow-spammer (hi Dianne, Izasku etc).

On the other hand, I also understand the frustration of some people towards stealth classes that attack the druid during an fg fight (almost broke my keyboard at some point) but hey, that's the game.

What do you have against scouts? this isnt the first time you've outright flamed the class. Scouts, when played properly, dont need to leech or 'support thier groundtroops'. You make yourself sound ignorant by your instant dislike for someone on hearing thier class.

As I said in my original post, I once let theseus go when a FG was near and I detected him while he was stealthed, I could VERY easily have just popped him and let the FGa gank him, but this to me just isnt the done thing. If i was a retarded leecher who had to support teh troops then dont you think I'd have popped him?

I got /ruded because I made use of the terrain?

I was attacked, thats how I was killed, so i wasnt in a bug. Those area's are annoying but put there for a reason, to create choke-points where people on the top will have an advantage. It was a 2/3 on 1, so to me using terrain to gain the upper hand makes sense. Its like flaming someone for using a tower as cover.

Ah you where grouped, fair enough, wasnt so much the whole adding thing, just the /rude. I did wonder why though.

Hiya Gear :D and im 5L6 still lol :(

I know what your saying about the whole adding on FG things, I've had the same thing done to my group while playing my pally. Its annoying and kinda low, wish there was a way to get around it, just wish some people here (EG. Stasi, Downanael) would realise that just because a class CAN do somthing, it doesnt mean they always will.

Archers in general take alot of flack, when tbh the class always was really hard to play well before NF. Assassins would be insta-death to any low rr scout who was within clip range of them.

And now just because the game has changed to make archers a little less like playing russian roulette and a little more skillfull, we get flamed.

There are alot of FoTM re-rollers, I suppose because alb has a larger population we're likely to have a larger number of these, and so some new scouts are starting give the class a bit of a bad name, but why does this spill onto the players that try to play the class as it was meant to be played?

People just dont get what it was like before, and why now alot of archers are doing very very well - because before it was harder, and now that its easier they can cope alot better, and skills that once earnt only a few K, can now earn alot more.

If a scout chooses not to add on a fg vs fg usually they either watch while stealthed or they walk off. I once sat unstealthed and watched a fg v fg (for a laugh), only to be mezzed and ganked.

it's Dukat though, which changes the whole thing, doesn't deserve spanking imo as he's not one of the tower-humpers and runs around. =)

I was at the top of the hill to begin with, I used crit and a normal shot to bring the first one down, then you came at me on level ground and I moved half way down the hill, you followed, went too far and got out of melee range.

If i remember right you then started trying to bow me down, I hit sureshot and then RF as you ran back round up to the top, then Thesa appeared and started nuking me, I hit sureshot again, then RF and started on him, soon after that you came back from the high ground and got into melee range. I wasted time trying to set off battler proc, realised IP was down, tried to turn and melee you but died, then I get spammed /rude at.

I did not start half way up the hill, I started at the top, when you came at me from the high ground I then moved forward down the slope.
I dont see why using the terrain to setup an ambush like that is all that bad.

Trying to solo is becoming increasingly hard, had you three met me on level ground and ganked me, 3 on 1, that would be fair, but because I sat at the top of a cliff and you ran past it and I started on you, this is unfair?

Surely the rights and wrongs balance out, you outnumbered me 3 to 1, but I was using the terrain. To be honest I tend to use terrain when I get a chance, because to me, in RvR, if your going to attack someone, you might as well do it properly.

I always try to find a position of strength before I attack, its not always possible, but if I can, I'll be above my target, at almost max range, with a decent way out if things go wrong, I take the shot and then move.

Does this mean that I am being 'unfair'?

If so, what should I do instead? Find a place where my quarry is above me and where I have my back to a cliff?

afaik this isnt a uncommon emote to be used by albs, so making a thread about it seems slightly far fetched.

I dont know about the rest of the population of albion but in DT after a good fight we /bow or /salute, not /rude. That is what I meant when I said:
