Offy is good but better defense is smite cleric top/bot spiral and lift. PBAE wizzie in basement. Clerics have mez, stun and smite, plus loads of HP/instas.

1x Runemaster on teh balcony bolting and aoeing ppl crossing the bridge, not to mention nearsighting the opposing sniper

2x mana chanters in each corner above the grate, thereby excluding both sides of the balc + the entire front entrance.

1x mana chanter top of the water spiral

4x troll skalds in offence (2 hammer, 2 axe)

I played qwtf from 1997, I expect u were still in short-pants around that time
I never play a game for the communinty, I play it for the game. And qwtf hands down owns TFC (purty gfx tho). When u played qwtf the scene was already dying or dead I'll wager. A real pity. Still, TF II one day eh... one day..

pff skald offeh... use minstrels, sos pwns. Also bolts suck, use a dark spec runie.
Also minstrels could stealth to the flag... Imagine your chanters standing there thinking "hmmm bit quiet", then a minstrel grabs flag is is off on SoS before you can stop them.

LOL defending the grate, nice strat there konah n00b! Though I suppose seeing as there's no conc jumping in DAoC (trolls could be employed to throw other people up onto the balcony?) you could just put a bard in the ramproom, with a cleric and 2 wizzies on the ramps, and you'd be sorted... bard mezzes cleric stuns wizzies nuke.

Defending the grate though lol thats classic. I haven't seen anyone use such an easily beatable defence in years
