It wasn't a coop event per se. Its pretty amazing that the realms cooperated and did it, and good on them. But the prospect of some solo, unbuffed RvR was too much for me.

OMG...candy....baby...0_o

Sorted the men from the boys imo, go play with your choo choo train :D

E&E's are hardly saints, in fact I've run in to some right morons...

GOA never ment this to be a co-op event so you could do what you want

went in to check it out last night as I missed the main event the night before due to being away from home...

Was fun whilst it lasted although when we picked up a few people for a group we got really annoyed with them ganking opposing players (it was like playing with an excited 5 year old) so we dumped them and found a large group of hibs and albs outside the main keep. Unfortunately there was a ld during our second enemy pop which sucked and we made a collective decion that it wasn't worth going back as there were too many people just going there to cause grief.

The co-op play whilst it lasted was really fun, especially as it actually took a bit more care and skill than usual as targets had to be picked carefully.

More of this I say ;-)

I`d especially like to thank Watto

http://www.duskwave.com/daoc/viewcharacter.php?id=187747

who heroically managed to kill me (Sorc) in four hits(!) in front of ck gate while I was *sitting down* right in between the mids, trying to state that I`m not interested in fighting them and instead we should work together. What a hero! :D

Strange, could have sworn Talivar said "we will prob have to co-operate to succeed at this".

It's a small matter of logic, the event was designed so the goal was best achieved with all 3 realms working in concert, not 1 realm with some heretofore unseen super zerg.

If this was the design of the event and it's merely a coincidence that BG2 was used (a major excuse used for poor behaviour by many people) it was a matter of convienience for GOA then only by ignoring the intent of the event planners could you by any stretch of the imagination say it wasn't meant to be a co-op event :D

Think the PK's were for each realms own sake, a reward for something on our own efforts, the CK was another matter entirely.

Glad to say most the people parked the infantile part of their brains, sad to see who the real idiots are but in the games current climate it wasn't that much of a surprise...

if it was a co-op event then you couldnt hurt eachother tbh

and it would have been allot more fun if one realm had to cap all 3tks and then conquer the ck, would be fun to have some huge fights over one of those keeps

ps: since when is talivar = goa? :>

I vaguely remember a memorial in the bowl for a rl Hib player that had died, (Aside from the crap that happened 30mins later) it was peacefull for the most part, and yet people were sitting in a RVR zone, you could quite simply kill anybody there, but they didnt:

Why? because the majority of people showed common sense
Why did the mayhem start afterwards? prolly cuz you or people like you logged on and saw free RP's and didnt give a shit.

He's not GOA but he was right, co-op was needed to achieve anything other than the TK's.

I'll take some informed thinking as a lead in this, looking at it further the lack of PvP immunity just made it more challenging to work together, not an excuse to one button spam the nearest mid/alb :D

I don't think the senseless ganking ruined the event, just made it slower and more cumbersome than it had to be.

Think like some scientest putting mice through a maze, there were items for all realms (cheese), to have the best possible chance to get the cheese you had to work with one or more realms, hence by definition it required working together since I don't believe one realm could have done it alone. Certainly the difficulty in attempting it would have bored that one realm senseless and they would just give up, was tough enough with 3 realms and enough people gave up to do a little killing on the side.

Feck me i hate roleplayers!!!

So you died a few times September, things arent all that bad that u need to post a pointless flame.

If i tarnished your special event experience i do apologise. However I ask for no quarter to be given to me in this game, so expect none back!

Goa did meant this to be a co-op event .. that's clear from the info they posted on daoc-europe ... every1 that was out there to deliberatly kill players that tried to have fun in this event are the biggest lamers around imo .. Great skill shown etc when i got ganked by 4 ppl otw to ck ... GJ :)

anyway .. grats & /hug to all the albs/hibs that showed some intelligence and worked togheter on this campaign .. it was great fun imo :)

hmm gotta agree with sharpo, i cooperated, but i reckon it woulda been more fun if all 3 realms perma ganked each other and tried to conquer the keep themselves

Me and Krane killed ppl for hours the first hours of the encounters,I had great fun to pk roleplayers in epic.
If I knew about the foolish drops GOA decided to implement, whitout any clue about the game and his balance,I would have seriously planed something of bigger to make the event fail.

P.s:If Goa didn't wan't ppl kill eachother they could have easly made it a neutral zone.
Since It's a RvR zone I m allowed to Kill other realm players.
Cooperation and stuff are personal choices.
