Was in Odin's last night duoing with a Minstrel. Both fully buffed. Got too close to a Mid Keep and attracted red con Guard aggro x 3. They were killed, and as soon as I'd dropped the last one and popped MCL a Mid BD and a Dwarf healer class (I'm guessing Shaman because he didn't chain CC my pet) came running down the road into us.
The short version of what happened thereafter is that the Minstrel got dropped pretty quick, leaving me facing a BD and whatever the other class was. Saw the Dwarf healing, so I PT him a few times, and when he ran I set my pet right after him. The BD then started to cause damage and it was a toss up between taking out the damage dealer, or taking out the healer. I do take my hat off to Kirug and Amag though - they had the sense to run in opposite direction when attacked, meaning I couldn't keep both busy at the same time.
I started concentrating on the BD then, hoping to drop him before the healer could heal, and almost managed it except for a timely heal by the dwarf. After that, as I took life out, the healer put it back - and I was worried I'd run out of mana before he would. I then decided to drop the BD's SC, and did so quickly. The BD was on 1/3rd health, with no pets, and sensing the kill I went after him (who ran towards Dwarf this time). He would have died too if my QC would recycle. It stayed greyed out the entire fight - WTF is that about? I've never lived long enough to use it before in RVR - is it bugged in combat against Realm enemies? Then another 2 Mids arrived, one of who rooted my pet. I couldn't risk breaking the tether so I had to take them both on, and eventually (after a total of roughly 5 mins) I died.
Now, the point of this post (having extensively explained the background) is that I think I played pretty much as well as I could have done in the circumstances. Everyone seems to know how to exploit the weakness of the Necromancer in RVR. I gave four players a great scrap for nearly 5 minutes single handed pretty much, and the least I deserve in my opinion is a /bow or a /salute.
What did I get? Kirug and Amag chain /rude emoting
Right children, exactly what was YOUR problem last night? Upset because I was a Necro you couldn't kill in 5 seconds like the rest of your Realm and all of Hibernia seem able to? Had the shoe been on the other foot, I would have acknowledged your efforts in the correct fashion.
