I saw in that closed thread you had problems with XP and an sb live 5.1 ?

Same here.

Although I did from the brief time I had it installed think it was shit, I might have given it more of a chance if I didn't have lots of sb live probs :/

You mind letting me know when you get some proper drivers?

At the moment i am trying to install the drivers from windows update, but it doesn't want to install.

So im stuck with a crummy sound card which stops me playing games.

my probs were mostly with stuff like Zsnes. Using the same drivers under w2k it's fine, although under XP I got garbled shit sound :\

In RTCW i can play for about 5-30 mins then during a gun battle the game will crash with a repeating loop of sound. In AVP2 the game crashes straight to desktop but beforehand there's about 5 seconds of looped sound, same in Civ 3. and even Media Player.

Doesn't affect Power DVD though. thank god.

Im in the process of manually ripping out the Latest SBlive drivers, so that i can try and install the ones from the Windows Update site, but only because i could at least play games with the ones from Windows update.
