Can we please change the rule for posting on the battlegrounds forum.

Lets be reasonable here, the forums here are for battleground "DISCUSSIONS". But hardly any actual discussions about events, questions and general pondering of how certain battles went just doesnt seem to happen anymore. All u seem to get now is a thread like this

These personal attacks on people or certain groups are filling up the discussions pages with useless spam which is only used as flamebait most of the time or for some place for someone to cry when they get killed. The battlegrounds were designed as a small starter rvr for people to learn thier classes skils vs other classes and see how they play but some people take things far to seriously.

Imo as with the Gratz threads on RvR discussions it would be nice if you could bring in some sort of penalty for people posting personal attacks against others and useless spam. Yes i realise that freedom of speech is a wonderful thing , but why use your freedom to post things that have no real relevance or are of no interest.

Well just an idea tbh. And yes i myself have been guilty of the occasional FAO in the past <Realm based though not personal <cept the time i got banned for telling that vamp to foad in rl but that was real rvr lol >, but ive learnt from my lessons>

It has been like this since Barrysworld - once the game got to a certain age everyone basically knows the mechanics so all thats left to discuss is who's more l33t!

To a certain extent this is unavoidable in a pvp game - I think its good people have somewhere to come and vent - stops em kicking the cat

You want a poem in this topic? I wroted one the other day about boredom. Quite good I thought. Am not so bored now. No DAOC. Done enough of it. Fought zillions of peeps and must have won 99% of them battles. Sorry but I can't see you fighting Thugs in Thid again. My fame and vids live on though. Anyways - poems. Wroted loads to do with DOAC and to be honest I suppose this boredom one is cos I don't play DAOC now so it partly to blame for my 'boredom' - or was. Ain't bored now though cos I got goals again - become a shit hot guitar player (am improving like no tomorrow) - make my bloody website work (not so sure about this one - probably bin it soon) - and train for a marathon. Goals. Here is me 'boredom' poem. You 2 could become good at poem writing if you practise. Practise see is the word you really need in DAOC. Tis wot I did over and over till I was near perfection. Then I did battle and not before.

Am posting this cos most of the time Freddy's Prydwen Battleground suffers badly from any energy. Sos I am attempting to transfer some of my energy to this board too. Well my opinion is along the lines of 'be grateful people are actually posting'. There is freedom of speech -upto a point- and people are exercising it. Don't forget there are all age groups playing this game and quite a few 'role play' when posting on here. They adopt daft words etc to express themselves. But like I said tis better they post than not.

Edit. The moderators really do have their 'finger on the pulse' and will sure as hell step in as soon as a post or reply is offensive.

i've seen so many personal attack, offensive crap being posted on these forums and i'll be dammed if any mod gave a shite, Flimgoblin used to be alright in here but cant remember the last time i even saw him here.....

you can more or less say/post anything you want and get away with it, personaly i wouldnt do that thanks to sods law, but i'm sure some of my posts were ban worthy...
