Found this a bit late but I'll explain a little about our policy when things like this happen.
Firstly we won't hand out the artifact. If it didn't drop, you won't get it. Even if the champion was on 1% health with a drip in his arm and a crash team on its way, we can't give you the artifact.
What we can do is give you another shot at it. Either do /who 100 in game to see if there are any GMs lurking on the server or contact an E&E to grab one of us. Generally we can get there quickly and reset it for you. If you were on a late wave we may even be kind and restart it at that point so you don't have to do it all again. If it still breaks (and I'm aware that the Coral Crumble breaks quite a lot) then we'll reset it again until you either finish it or proton decay does for your motherboard.
Same goes for encounter credit for MLs/Artifacts. We can't give you the quest but we can give you another go.

*points at her watch* What Requiel means to say is that we will do what we can for you however please take into consideration that as much as we like to be helpful we also like things like sleep food and occasional days off.

The office runs on a roughly M/F schedule however we can occasionally be found on weekends... the hours we are available to help vary between 10am and 11pm CET... if we are due to get out of here at 7:30 and you have an issue with a quest or ML at 7:25 of course we'll stay and help but same can't be said for 330am...
