How does this work? You look through the pictures on your phone, remember someone's face, then if you see them in the street you contact the police? I must be way off because that's a terrible idea.

I don't see what's scary about it. You stick a postcode in, it gives you a load of pictures of suspects. If you recognise one, you give the police your details.

I can't get it to work on my phone...but from the news item I watched earlier: you enter your postcode and it gives you mugshots of perps within a few miles radius of it. You can then shop them

as i understand it you have no right to you own image taken in a public place, ie you can be filmed by speed cameras and shit

Contrary to popular belief, the police don't really solve crime. That's the witness's job.

I just looked at this and it is fuss about nothing. It is just like wanted posters. The one thing i would say is the costs need to be looked at maybe. If this thing only catches one person it has been a huge waste. All of the people i found when i tried it were London Rioters.

Only problem i see with this is that moronic vigilanteers will have an easier time/more so called "reason" to smash someones head in.
