Experiencing weird kind of LD's

Since patch 1.69 or getting my new pc (they came simultaneous) I'm experiencing weird kinds of ld's. the middle icon or both middle and left icon suddenly turn red mostly after porting within 1 zonecluster but also sometimes just "out of the blue" but my I/C isn't dead, infact I keep receiving all data from the game like chats and people casting/walking but I just can not send anything thru daoc anymore. (any other internet program doesn't seem to be affected)

Got all drivers up to date (vid, network controller, audio chip, chipset)


MSI K8N Neo-Platinum
AMD 64 3200+
2*512 Dane-Elec PC3200
Asus V9570 /TD 256MB (GF FX 5700 GPU)
Seagate Barracuda 120GB @S-ATA 1
Windows XP Pro SP2 (same prob with SP1)


Anyone know some pointers why this is happening? or are you experiencing thesame problem?

are you running any messengers (ICQ/MSN/AOL), IRC. Have you cleaned with virus scanners and spyware removal tools?

Running msn, but it's not different if I disable that.
Checking spyware and viruses on a very regular basis.

internal network controller or netgear nic?

Similar problems occur to quite alot of people, especially those with the onboard network controllers or cheap netgear NIC´s.

For some reason dunno why really they cant always handle the stress. And will not accept new sockets or will shutdown established sockets to relieve stress.
My Gigabit Netgear NIC would totally shutdown itself and the computer required a reboot to re initialise the NIC. a shutdown and reinitialization wouldnt work.

Well just my idea of what could be your problem.
