Expectation of release

Rumour is going around that HL2 is set for release this evening. The 3 main halflife 2 forums are now down due to the load... just wish they would release the damn thing must be a million+ people waiting for this by now

No it's still definetly the 16th. And this is a good thing, let everyone get it at the same time for once.

Vivendi are saying they will hold Valve in breach of contract if they activate HL2 via Steam before the 16th, and hopefully the retailers that are selling it early will be spanked with a very long stick.
