I have read that there are some quests that will expand your carrying capacity.

1. Is this true ?

2. Where would I get such a quest ?

3. How hard is it ?

I've heard about this too, but not really got anything to confirm it.

I do hear though, that if you put a bed/desk/whatever in your mog house, it increases your vault space.

But then, that was from a rather shady looking character in /ls.

So, erm, to be precise:

I don't have a clue.

1. items such as beds etc. will result in mog safe expansion quests.

2. Gobbiebag quests...must have completed at LEAST 28 quests in your home town, and be lvl 30, then talk to bluffnix @ the gobbie shop in jueno - there are 4 quests, progressively more fame/level and money/time required to complete, opening 5 slots per time.

A storage chest didn't increase it ( odd, imo ). The quest you're referring to involves a Bronze Bed and the Mog going on a vacation. Should increase safe-capacity with 10, but not carrying capacity afaik.

More info about the quest can be found at:
http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/quests.html?realm=&fquest=194

If you get the quest and finish it, please try taking down any notes as to what circumstances it happened, 'cause the info on the messageboard there is somewhat messy :/

Are those for the safe or carrying capacity? :)

Are some quests you can get in Jeonu that will expand you inventory space. Infact there is 4 of them and youll end up with 45 spaces in your pocket. There called gobobag or something. Should be fairly easy to find on some page with quests on ;)

They are very easy btw. All you need is ~20k for each of them

3 Mog Safe expansion quests, each requiring a diff bed, Bronze>Mahogany>Noble's, and each requires the bed to be in place for a Conquest Tally update. Each of the 3 quests raises Mog Safe capacity by 10, totalling 70 Mog Safe slots at the end

4 Gobo Bag Quests should each raise your inv by 5 slots each, so you total 50 Personal Inv slots.

Lots of fame required, so get questing...

and remember repeatable quests DO give additional fame, so do them as often as possible.

You are VERY pedantic Whisperess and in this case WRONG.

yes its beds for first three quests, however furniture functionality is being added that will allow you to expand further.

Gobbiebag quests are for inventory afaik there are only 4 quests ( each 5 slots this time ) probably another one with todays update.

Uhm, did I upset you in any way? Was never my intention.

I placed a chest in my mog house some days ago ( way before reading this ) and it didn't serve any purpose that I noticed.

The rest of my message was just relaying information to the quest I thought he was referring to.

I also started writing my message BEFORE ( since you seem to like caps ) you even posted to this thread. ( I got distracted )

Shesh, calm down :)

you've just annoyed with some of your other posts on here, + you visit allakhazam and didnt bother checking what gobbiebag quests were for, a bit silly if you have a habit of trying to correct people :p

But how could I possibly have checked for Gobbiebag quests when I didn't know about them? :)
Like I said, I started writing my post before yours arrived, so it's in no way aimed at your post at all, honest :)

I'd hate for you to dislike me, so I'll try to be a nice little Mithra :D *purr*

to have sufficient fame to begin the first "gobbiebag" quest (increase personal inventory by +5) you need to have completed 28 non-repeatable quests in your home city, and talk to the gobbies in their jeuno workshoppe.

In order to find/complete that many, its usually a good idea to talk to every NPC, everywhere. I have been round windhurst twice and got a load of missions, sometimes its useful to have about 20 before you start, because most of them take you the same places.

They added "some furniture items will increase mog safe capacity" in the 15/12 patch.
Reading changelogs is fun o_O

[edit]
They added the "Storage" command to the Mog House, which lists the safe capacity added by furniture.

Only got a bed and it gives 1 extra space for some reason O-o
