Excalibur today...

What happened at Excalibur today, about the rumor of Mids attacking it. It originated from my guild joke in which I'm sorry that it spreaded into a relic raid threat.

What happened was that guild chat was just running quiet for a bit, so I thought I would play a joke on them. in which I typed [A Scout has been killed from your outpost with 68 enemies in the area.] to joke about our keep being attacked... some people paniced, some people didn't as they seen my name at the beginning- but I did tell them it was a joke shortly after... but some people didn't relise and started to tell others it was a relic raid- which started all of it off. After I heard all the confusion and panic again from other guilds- I started to relise that I should of put a smaller number in. The time I reached excalibur to appolise for my actions, most were gone, so that is why I'm appologising here

Once again, I'm really sorry to of taken you from what you were doing- I don't want to be a meanie to you all- theres no reason to- just that I never knew the guild-joke could of got that much of a serious responce from guildies and of course, other guilds

Totally agree, tho some muttered about "cry wolf" but i doubt it ..

Was nice to see the whole realm dropping all they were doing (some even suicided) and joined up at excalibur (luckily i was just lfg'ing ), a little show of realm unity/spirit.

ofcourse you will get some flames for it, maybe even badmouthed but hopefully you wont do it again .

The joke wasn't meant to spread out of guild chat, it was only a little joke on our keep being attacked- but since people spread the joke to something a bit more serious- I am expecting flaming and badmouthed for that unfortunary

But someone had to own up for their own mistake that started it all I guess...

Maybe a smaller number than a full blown relic raid sized force next door to excal would have raised less instant alarm (fg's perhaps)

Still, for frightening the pants off about 300 people

Perhaps you'd like to say something special to Shadowbreed - they lost a lot of bounty points upgrading their keep to level ten thanks to your "joke".

The keep could of been downgraded again after 10 minutes, so don't blame that on me. Keep takes away BPs every hour and that could of been avoided if you acted quick enough. I did warn and appologised to everyone about it within about 10 minutes after I had been told on guild chat that it escalated into a more serioius matter. I even turned up at excalibur to tell those there what happened.

My apology above goes to all guilds, and to all of the people effected by this incident- but if you can't accept what has happened and move on- well I'm sorry yet again. People can make mistakes can't they? after all, we're only human.

Yeah I know, but I don't have the authority in guild to do this and the people who do had logged and forgot to downgrade

Don't worry you're forgiven. I admire your courage to hold your hand up and say sorry. You did what you did without malice and deserve to be forgiven after your subsequent actions.

I only wanted to highlight what happened to Shadowbreed as an example of how these things can affect people.

Of course the BP hit hurts, but I'm sure you can help us garner enough BP and RPs to ease the pain

I think that despite it being a joke going further then intended, it did acheive some good, and that was swift reaction from plenty of Albs in a quick time

And what fun we missed out on by running to Excal, we made up on the impromptu attack on the Green Knight, to which we all died, but Fun was had by all

appart from the peeps who said I owed them for Con, due to suggesting we attack GK hehe
