New password needed? I used me old one and i got to the "pick server" page, no problems at all.

what im saying is what the guy on the phone and the website said theyre going to be sending out new game login passwords to us all soon cos theyre infected with some sort of virus that although theyre not 100% sure could give out details theyre not taking chances!! so look forward to learning a new password soon /sigh!!

These last days, you have probably noticed unusual things on Dark Age of Camelot :
Shutdown of Rightnow !, our customer service tool.
Shutdown of the subscription system.
Unusual events on the Prydwen server.
Since the 18th of August, Dark Age of Camelot Europe has been the victim of computer crime, like many other well known online services.
GOA's technical team immediately implemented a series of preventive measures, which resulted in the shutdown of our customer service tool, Rightnow !, and of the subscription system.
We have also lodged a complaint with the competent authorities.
As a cautionary measure, we have decided to change your "game" passwords. The game servers should thus be stopped for a maximum of 5 hours. The procedure of sending the mails should take about 24 hours, so do not worry if you do not receive your email right away.
In the days to come we are going to process the change of all "subscription" passwords. Services shutdowns are thus planned in order to finalise the reinforcement of the security measures of our platform.
We will keep you informed during the week of the precise planning for the restart of the different services, and we are doing everything possible to ensure once again an optimal service.

I can't understand why some friggin hacker does these things to other ppl??

Satisfaction just cause they accomplish thousands of people not being able to do what they want?

Satisfaction they managed to hack something?

Brought up with strict parents and broken toys, getting revenge on something else just to feel the überness for themselves?

Psychos that have too much sparetime causing others big problems should be tracked down and put in a closed soft cell and have the keys thrown away. Just lock them bastards up and let them rot.

u dont know what kind of damage has been done yet. (only a few hours playtime ruined)
as i see it now , the "hacker's" only result is to get more security installed on the daoc server.

from what ive read on the boards and seen from SS's it seems he had access to just about everything on the server , which would mean he would have access to everyone account. So he could have deleted & replaced all ur precious chars , but didnt.
