In have read most of the books, but never seen the film or played any of the games.

Have to say the new one looks quite sexy though

Didja mistype Anatomy, or does that name have some obscure meaning? Anyway, I think the game doesn't look exactly wonderful. The film was better than the new game is, but Dune 2 was good. I haven't played Dune 2000. All the books except the ones by Brian Herbert were good (Brian Herbert wrote the new ones and they aren't as good as the ones by his dad).

dune 1 i never played, dune 2 was one of my favourite games ever and still is, i expected so much more from emporer battle for dune, but it looks as if its another useless sequal, westwood just had put in streams of FMV, made a few more useless units, and even managed to emphasis groundtroops importance by making them so very squishable. they have undermined the harkonenen forces, i mean WTF would they want a flame tank for, BBQ's? cause im certain it will be useless on the battlefield, well ofcourse against the st0pid enemy AI perhaps, remember the good old days of streams of streams of enemy units walking into a big inpenitrable wall of rocket turrets without the AI figuring out why its not winning. well the good old days of misdesign have come back. SO if you want a new RTS with some new ideas avoid at all cost westwood and their generic wonders

The books bored me so I went back to Lord of the Rings.

I just got the new dune game and got a free dune book. I'll install it tonight. Not heard great things about it but Westwood games are like a comfy old chair. Nothing special but easy to slip into for a couple of hours.

Actually, I slip into comfy old chairs for years but I usually stop playing Westwood games when I've finished them and tried them online twice. Bad analogy sorry.

Dune was a good book,a very good book, I read it after playing Dune 2. The game was so good I wanted to find out more.

Dune the movie sucks big time compared to what it could have been.

Lord of the rings? Great trilogy, Have to read teh Hobbit first though.

The Lord of the Rings Movie is currently in production for a summer 2002 release

from the start of the map build loads of factorys and then loads of tanks dont bother with defence
head down the screen then to the far left, theres another base there that will join ya once you get over there and the areas very easy to defend unlike the area ya start

harkonnen units suck big time atreides seem to have the better units mongoose and mino's together pretty much own everything

AI sucks =) the emperor worm sucks =) units suck erm oh well it will keep me going unit WarcraftIII or starcraft2 comes out
