1. cheaters...if you get rid of the highest scoring non payer then you're bound to get rid of any cheaters (or stingy good player)
2.Lag...why would a full paying server not have lag
3.Children...BW future customers (you can always mute them)
4.Newbies...they've got to start somewhere and they might want to join bw in the future. They get to learn with some really good players and decide to join because they like the people
5.damn...didnt think of that
6.Are you just trying to find fault

Someone who's really good and enjoys the service would be kicked off more often thus they would decide to join. Its good discrimination.
It keeps the servers open so advertising BW....if after you're booted a message could pop up in console saying why you were booted and how to join BW
If you don't know what something is like why pay for it

I think the answer is "That's far too much effort", and using a reserved slots system wouldn't work either, since any current system is either reserved/not reserved, not dynamic. Also, every paid-up member would have to be added to each game server, by ip (which changes), Wonid (only works for HL games), name (easy to copy), or use a set_info to confirm (bound to get leaked, a nightmare to change).

That's before we get into if it's a good idea or not.

Well theres a Fy_Map Server, i guess that can be classed as a "Custom" but i guess they will implement another Server with maps such as de_747 etc..

So.. anyone got the 56k Server IP? Ive never added it to GameSpy coz it would be a waste of time

Clan servers dont make much profit at all.

You have to buy the hardware to put the clanserver on, then provide it with support which means staff, not to mention the bandwith...

I doubt BW make much money on BarryServers at all
