This is going to cause a fuss with the TV stations isn't it?

It inevitably does since the creators are like "Let's get this to a bigger audience" while the broadcasters are waving around pieces of paper with ratings and profits.

If they have the rights to the show, then the stations can do nothing about it really.

They most likely sold the stations 3 airings(as per usual) of each episode, and that's it. The stations don't really own jack of the show.

Ofcourse, they might loose a couple of stations due to giving away free shows when they got some old airings in stock, but i'm thinking the PR and such of this trick will beat that loss.

I'd say, after the initial airing of a show/episode, heck, just put it on the net yourself and let people get the show as intended(quality wise etc), because anyone who wants it, will get it anyway.

Also, without having seen the streaming and not knowing, they could easily add commercial banners to their own stream, which could bring in income to the creators pr. viewer.

Saw a PowerPoint about it once, and it could be a great new way of marketing TV series, and the commercials did not have to be very visual, just like the size of the small icon each TV station normally pins on top of every broadcast they make anyway.

Aye, those "quick flash" commercials of own tv shows etc?

I actually find them very useful, even if some people say they are annoying.

I like the way some stations etc are doing it nowadays, as it should, everything free and the advertisers pay the bill.

Heck, The Battlefield Heroes(was it?) is totally free, a good game(i think it will be) and all paid by advertisement.

Go go power advertisement i say.

By the way, watched an episode, very rapid deployment and no streaming issues, quality "download quality", so very nice. Volume could be better, a bit loud at Max(compared) and a real fullscreen would be even better.

A+ man, A+. Actually, just B+ since, well, you might do something better and i'm saving that A and it's nto THAT good in quality.

Agree with toht, that the quality is very nice, had to turn up my speakers a bit to get a nice volume, but other than that, it was very nice!

ps. The new season sucks imo :<
