Lagg isn´t that much of a problem, supportstaff is a dream.

Game

Just as a matter of interest the original game (no expansions) is available in the UK from Game for £4.98 at the moment - part of a sale by the look of it.

May be tempted to give it a try at that price, lol - though space games aren't usually my cup of tea..

Vastly improved.

Have to agree with what was said earlier about the support staff, they are online 24/7 and solve an issue almost instanly most of the time.

On release the support was not great and the game very buggy, but they have worked so hard on these things that the game is really taking shape now.

only thing u failed to mention is that u have a pretty damn big chance of loosing EVERYTHING uve worked ur arse off getting (ships, weapons, mods, implants etc etc etc)

its quite possible to go from multi milionaire to bankrupt in one or two deaths.

and god help you if u forgot to uppdate your clone and u get podded ;) happend to a mate of mine and he lost just over a million points. and about 900 million in value of the ship + items :)

Best thing about this game, death has consequences.

99% of mmorpg's take death for granted, so players die all the time with no significant or noticable loss. No risk = games like World Of Snorecraft where everything is handed to players on a golden platter. The greater the risk, the greater the reward.

If you die, you lose is your ship and its fittings and cargo.

Getting podded is very rare, i have never been podded even in huge 0.0 sec corp wars. Lost ships to about 40 different player pirates, never podded once. There is no profit in podding an enemy unless its a personal thing or a player who really just want's to annoy you...corp wars often have a no-pod policy agreement.

Clones are extremely cheap, updating your clone is cheaper than repairing your ship. Having a clone that covers your skill points is a very basic newbie thing you learn, it's in the tutorial! (Frankly im amazed a player with a 900m ship has an outdated clone, rookie mistake!).

Cash is easy to get back, ships are easy to replace. After 3 months i can replace a Raven, fully equipped with minimum tech2 without breaking a sweat (not all the rare named items though, but most). In fact my corp would replace everything if i asked them. Which is the whole point of a corp, helping each other.

Get a decent corp, then cash loses all meaning as you become part of a greater whole. Personally i run security on mining missions in low sec, and sometimes take my barge if they are short of miners. I never see a penny from the operation, or any operation until i need something, then its given to me.

I dont failed

to info about the risk of loosing stuff as
in the begining of EVE you go thrue a tutiral I advise
all to do.

with some basic int You do the tutiral, those with no INT I dont advice playing EVE.

Your mate?? lost 900m and skills ? you want the nice comment or the direct comment I have in mind ?

All those who play EVE keep there clone updated all time, those who dont dont play eve that loong hehe

If anyone is interested im selling my EVE account, its still "low" on skillpoints with my 6 million, but its made for fast training and basic's sofar, that means that all the boring stuff is done like Learningskills and advanced learningskills is almost capped, good combat skills, mining skills and good general skills like electronics etc. Im currently flying in a Megathorn(Battleship, the biggest shiptype in game).

If interested send me a mail to: thanthalas_dk@hotmail.com

Actualy EvE is one game where they don't seem to mind trading characters, mainly as you can trade them between accounts legally anyway (there is even a forum for it).

CCP have change the rules the only possible char selling now
is by selling chars for ingame "ISK currency

Selling accounts for irl life cash are Not allowed now days.

True, but you can buy ISK on auction sites, never seen CCP take a stance on this OR account selling/trading.

Generally speaking CCP dont seem bothered by it and I can see why...it is actually FUN to just play this game, there is no grinding to avoid and one players ideal character is usually VERY different from anothers (e.g. a char with 14m sp's may only have 2m that a player wants and as such is worth bugger-all).

Another issue is that if you buy a character, you have no idea what they have done in game. EvE is unique in that if you anger the community, you are not easily forgiven!

Buyin ingame ISK, Mods, Ships etc etc is defeating the object of the game.

Everything i own is 100% game time earnt by myself and thats the way it should be.

I remember killing an apoc and the guy convoing me saying he just picked it up after buying it on ebay !!

Made me feel even better for destroying it.
