Eve Fitting Tool created by Gripen.
A basic how-to. Please add other stuff below
Firstly download and install the Eve Fiting Tool from the Eve-O website.
On first use go to the characters tab.
To find out what your guy can do rather than theorising with the all lvl 5 option select “Create New Character” then use the import option and insert your limited API info, which can be found here. You will find on a lot of setup threads dps and tanking numbers are quoted from using the all lvl 5 char.
Other things that can be done on the char screen:
Inserting implants
Changing any skill manually (e.g. for trying a setup for skills finishing in a week)
Then we can select a ship to fit (no shit). With both ships and modules there is a nice indicator by the selected character that lets you know whether you have the reuired skills or not.
The right hand-side (small laptop can’t get a pic where it isn’t all scrunched up) give you a lot of information about what you are fitting:
Hardpoints
Calibration
CPU / PG
Drone Bay
Resists and Active & Passive Tanking info
Capacitor status
Firepower – both dps & Alpha
Every mod will tell you what skills it needs and what it does.
If you select “Open Market Group” you will see all the other similar mods and can find named versions that use less fitting requirements, etc…
CAVEAT: EFT is a fitting help program. It will not make you fly better
