European release date set :October 31st

so were getting a UK server on 31st october (just about the time i would hit Master Bounty Hunter on Eclipse :/)

any people going to go over to this new server if they dont let us transfer chars? tbh ive not had many probs with the Loading status of Eclipse, but PvP with more than 10 people is impossable.

just to clarify it 31st October for UK,Nordic and "Rest of Europe" (what ever that means) and 7th November for Spain,Italy,France and Germany

im not sure if i could be bothered to re-lvl my char again on another server. way too much hasstle, and i think it'd just sort of ruin the game for me. wouldnt be fun doing the same thing all over again.

that said, i reckon they will allow everyone to transfer chars, did with EQ. dont see why not..

I dont belive they have said anything about new servers.... yet.. just the fact that the game is being released in Europe.

I pre-ordered my UK version, as they call it, from Play.com in about march or something, and they've been putting that release date back regular as clockwork since then.

Started off as July and it's lost a month, with each that has passed...

still, at least i know it IS planned now, i recall someone saying the official response was no Euro server was planned.

Im really looking forward to euro servers when they arrive and will happily start a new character!

if we can transfare characters its a bonus
if not i think it will be a blast to grab as many brand new characters as we can an assault the Kryat graveyard with CDEF's and stim a's

I very much doubt they will allow the transfer of existing characters at first (if at all).

The economy of a server is a fragile thing and allowing masters of any crafting profession to transfer to a brand new server will destroy any hope of a stable economy on that server.

They need to limit it to brand new characters and let the economy build on its own. Not to say the economy will be any good, seeing as people have learnt a lot of the tricks to level fast and I wouldnt be surprised if there was a master architect on a new server within the first three days...

I might move as im based in the UK - as at the moment I get sporadic pings of 150-200 most nights even through broadband - it would set it back to about 20-50 which is a whole lot better.

As for for re-starting the char, now thats whr would I / wouldn't I comes into play - i want to play on an easier play without lag server but the time ive spent on my existing character would be 'the same time again + it'll take a while for others to be able to teach professions to those coming up the ranks. so maybe double the time - as you'd have to do more missions to get more money to train urself.

They wont let you transfer a character until the new EU servers are up and running with a healthly ecconomy. This is what they did for the EQ servers. I think it was a month before you could transfer your characters over. But by doing so you lost every item and plat peice you owned so you ended up for example as a level 60 wizard with no clothes and no money.

I'm playing a rebel char on eclipse atm so I'll probably start an Imp char on the european server when / if it happens.

The only reason to do it for me would be to avoid the excesive downtimes for maintenance. This saturday it went down at 12 and at 3pm it was still loading eclipse (all be it for the second time cause the first reload was fecked).

I might follow the crowd this time and play an overpowered BH / Commando
