Error on install

Ok hello peeps i have dld cs and the hl updates the hl update is fine but the cs update gives me this error!

Any ideas why it is saying this ... i havnt touched my cs folder since i last played so i know im on cs 1.3 and my hl is up to date .. any help welcome thanks all

Dont you have to upgrade hlf life first with the 1.1.0.9 patch ?

And also are you sure you havnt downloaded the patch for the retail or visa versa if you have the retail ?

It could be that the update has "screwed" your CS installation.

Have you tried a full uninstall and then reinstall ?

i unzipped my old files back onto my pc to see if it would fix it but i got the same ... and i dld the mod version which is 35 meg for ... the retail dld is alot bigger aint it ? also could it have anything to do with skins ?

I believe Tremor had the same problem on installing it, when he comes here im sure he'll have an idea of what it is

the 1003 --> 1004 update for the CS RETAIL is 35mb

That patch is for the retail version, You don't need to update Half-Life. I think that maybe you have both retail and mod version installed and the mod version is at 1.3 but the retail version hasn't been updated at all? Hence the fact that it is 1.0.0.0
