Since downloading the new Half-Life patch 1.1.0.9 my computer has basically gone Haywire.
Ive had to do a system restore 3 times, uninstall Half-Life 3 times and download the new patch again, it somehow interfered with my anti virus and messed that up so thats been uninstalled and reinstalled twice and only with the help of 'Hawking Tool' was I able to run it. As it stands now Half-Life runs fine, my anti virus runs fine,however I'm getting numerous blue screen of death's, they originally indicated that various virtual drivers are causing problems ie VxD VMM and VxD VTDAPI. This problem has now been sorted out, however I still get the blue screen sometimes but now with a different error message. It says that a error has occured: ERROR OD: FFFF:0000FFFF
When the blue screen is up the 'Esc to return to windows', 'Ctrl Alt Del to restart comp' and Press any key to continue' doesn't always work and I have to press the reset button on my computer. So far with the latest error I can now shutdown and restart my computer most times, which I couldn't do before. However I do not know where to start in solving this problem so if you could help me in any way I'd be very grateful.
Computer spec: AMD Athlon slot A 750 Mhz, Gigabyte mobo, 192 Mb ram,SB PCI 128 sound, ATI 32 Mb rage graphics, Windows ME.
