I downloaded the old Toa on this new laptop only to realize i needed the new Toa NF pack to rvr ect, i dld the launcher so i could download the NF version. WHen i start the install it asks for a directory to put the NF in, it wont allow me to put it in anything ect, when i do it says im putting into a invalid directory, any ideas?

ALso i tried just launching the Toa Nf ect, the first part where it checks for updates goes by but when it finishes i get an error message saying it cant complete the product and to check internet settings ect, not quite sure what to do.

any help would be appreciated, the battlefield needs me

1: try the patcher from start.. get a friend to send you the 2 files you need .. the exe file and one more lil file.. dont remember the name.

if you get the same error message, the problem is propably in the routing. try to do a tracert (adress/ip) in cmd. should most likely see where the problem lies (im guessing opentransit) :D

i have the original toa already on this laptop now from the cd, so i can play the toa. But in order to go into rvr zones i need the new frontiers patch, thats the part its not letting me dl or update on my computer without getting the message. I tried everything so far, i thought maybe it also might be my firewall wall so i turned off and tested and it wasnt, so im still a bit stumped. thanks for help so far, any more ideas are welcomed

I believe this method used to work :

Go into your camelot directory.
Create a 'frontiers' directory.
Next time you log in do a full file check.
The patcher will notice lots of missing files from the frontiers directory and download them all.

could try downlaoding NF from here
http://r.goa.com/r?ref=daoc_download_NF_TOA&url=http://patch.camelot-europe.com/frontiers_toa.exe

and it should patch the files rather than using the updater

If the problem persists
Error 403, is a permissions error.

Make sure you are logged in as an administrator

1) Right click "Start" -> Explore
2) Tools -> Folder Options
3) Click the "View" Tab
4) Scroll down to "Use simple file sharing" and untick this
5) Click "Apply" -> Click "Ok"
6) Browse to your TOA directory, Right click it -> Properties
7) Make sure the file "Read Only" box is unchecked
8) Click the "Security" Tab
9) Make sure your username is in the list
10a) If it is, click on your username and ensure "Full Control" is click on the bottom list under "Permissions for <your username>), click apply and then ok
11a) try run the patcher again

10b) Your username is not in the list, Click "Add"
11b) Type your username in and press "check names"
12b) click ok
13b) click ok
14b) try run patcher again

when it asks you for the folder to install NF to, point it to your ToA folder

I tried all of this and it still wouldn't allow me to update, still getting 403 message. I also pointed the NF install to toa folder and it let me install, its icon is now on my desktop after it downloaded the quickbit, i go to load up the game and wablam same ol 403 message. Tried everything so far, going to have the game zipped and sent to me and try from their i guess, will post results.;
