error message (404)

When i try to start up daoc i get this error 404 every time anybody who can help me with what to do ???

If you open the (i think its) the user.dat file (if not its the login.dat) with notepad and then take the space out that is in the two address lines, then save. it should run fine now

eg: 19291991 :1001010011 should be
19291991:1001010011

sounds like it could be an invalid update.dat - usually get a 201 if you can't connect.

If you did the changing of the update.dat by hand:
check there's no spaces at the end of the lines in your update.dat
or download the Gorre.zip and use that

if you did use the Gorre.zip then I've no idea what's up

looks like it's not config errors as people who got in last night fine are getting 404 - the patcher's not well, it's probably a known issue and will getfixed soon enough. In the mean time - go and do something boring because I'm stuck at work and unable to login.
