Why not try starting threads that are not purely flames?

I think the reason that so many threads are being locked is because people are fed up of listening to the little kiddies mentality of those who go around flaming others shouting "0wned". It's just plain dumb and rude and has in a number of cases been offensive.

These forums are for general discussion and banter, not a personal playground for you to go around shouting crap like "ownerized!" "oh you were so owned there!".

I find it especially offensive that certain people feel the need to call people gay and hoping that they die of A.I.D.S.

Spamming is fine in it's place, but if someone wants to actually discuss something that's ultimately not got a lot to do with you then stay the hell out of their thread. If you've got problems with people, take them away in private, don't air them hear publically.

I also beleive you DO have the right to protect your own thread, whther it's named after you, or you started it. You should have the right to ask mods to remove certain people's posts if you feel they are inapproriate.

Just lets please avoid the slanging matches? And stay the hell away from people's threads when they've really and honestly got bugger all to do with you and coming in all guns blazing isn't going to win you any favours from anyone.

If you want to have a slanging match with someone use the Personal Message. Not everyone is interested.

GLyNN3RS, if you continue to post abusive threads and continually stir up flames between other members of these boards your posts will be locked. In fact, next time I see one I will delete it. Everyone is allowed to post on these forums but they shouldn't haveto put up with one man on an ego boosting trip trying to prove that he may have some life by slating other peoples.

People use these boards to communicate with others who have the same interests as them, yes there are people who use it to a ridiculous extreme, naming no-names (TUG, KEz, hehe ) but that does not give you the right to abuse them.

If your looking for sad people to abuse then look no further than home, you obviously have nothing better to do than find people to pick on, albeit not very well. Grow up, Get a life, do whatever you want but leave those who use this board alone.

I have refrained from commenting so far, but here is my tuppence worth -

I absolutely agree with what WPKenny, Trebz and the others say.

I'm heartily sick and tired of having to wade through all the childish bickering and "ownerization" crap on these forums. I think you need to do a little growing up and learn some respect for people. In my experience (most) people will treat you the same way you treat them: if you insult them or treat them like fools don't be surprised if you get the same back.

I don't know you and I have never spoken to you but, from reading your mindless postings, I have certainly formed an opinion of you!

Flame me if you like, I don't care. As I am old enough to be your father (horrible thought) I have the maturity to ignore it.

Thats what I did in other threads. Abusive and innapropriate material was being aimed at me, i asked Trebz to lock the thread as it was one one its kind (flame) and was getting out of control. He then just said no and wibbled on a bit and then SAS just locks threads here just because i titled one thread as 'Kryten'. Can someone explain the sense in that to me??

Is it me or is that the biggest pile of rubbish i have ever seen in these forums??

I NEVER post abusive threads anymore. Im used to, i admit that. But in the end i simply got bored with it and now i just post for fun in the general forum. I hardly EVER say abusive words or try tom stir shit up.

The only reason i felt the need to post about kryten was because i dont actaully like being told to 'fuck off' whenever i enter the #barrysworld chat room. I just wanted to make up and forget, but kryten didnt, and that was that.

Gimme your irc channel Trebz and maybe we could discuss it in more depth.:)
