Erm - T2 wont connect anymore.

I been playing T2 for weeks now and all has been well.

But I come to log on today and it doesnt even get past the auto updat bit - it just locks on checking announcements - then says check your internet connection.

Well I can post this damn new topic OK - so why cant I connect to T2???

WTF!!!???

before anyone says "what did you install?" - I havent - I turned it off last night - now it wont work.

Any ideas?

mine has always crashed on "checking updates" all i did to stop it was skip the "checking updates" as soon as it comes up and it works fine from there on

o btw, how are the SAS skins coming along ?

I'm getting the same problem at the moment, it takes ages for the announcements, but gets them in the end, but then fails trying to check for updates says "Unable to connect to update control servers"
and shows me a list of 3 servers.

Wish there was a way to bypass it as I know there ain't a new update anyway.

Im with BT OPENWORLD (ADSL) and they say they havent changed anything their end.

Funny thing is - I cant connect to CounterStrike either. But Q3 works ok.

Haven't got CS installed atm, but can connect to battle.net and Microsoft Zone server games.

I was playing ok at 12 ish last night then went to bed.

Got back from work today - tried to play a game and its screwed!

CS and T2 use WON.net authorisation - Im thinking they might be the problem.

me was up late last night, had a quick game around 3am which was fine. Now after coming home from work at 6 is sudenly not working

It does sound like something to do with WON.net authentication problems (me thinks back to reading Dave Georgeson go on about how this sort of prob, although common on CS & Q3 would never happen on T2 )

Its strange though that only some people are affected. Else something official would probably be posted, escpecially as its mid-day atm in the USA.

Err yeah it is indeed WOn, anyone reading this dont go phone your ISP.

WOn have 3 servers. Not all are down as some poeple are connected. There is a registry key that determines which u connect to by default.

I can't find any registry keys that seem to relate to the issue and only the serriaup.cfg file in the tribes2/gamedata/ directory contains server addresses etc.

However after obtaining the serriaup.cfg from a clan mate who is able to connect I see that his is exactly the same as mine.

Oh well, hopefully it will work tommorrow :/
